The Last Receipt
A downloadable game for Windows and Linux
The Last Receipt is a fixed-counter occult pawnshop game about appraisal, suspicion, and consequence.
Customers bring strange objects to your counter. Some are harmless keepsakes. Some are cursed. Some are evidence. Your job is to inspect each item, ask the right questions, and decide whether to buy, refuse, or quarantine it before the shift ends.
Across seven connected shifts you will deal with thirty-five customers, limited receipt ash, scarce quarantine space, escalating compliance pressure, and endings shaped by what you let back into the world.
Features
- Inspect cursed objects, provenance, receipts, testimony, and visual clues
- Ask limited questions before making each decision
- Choose whether to buy, refuse, or quarantine suspicious items
- Seven-shift campaign with persistent consequences
- Multiple endings, including a best-ending route
- Accessibility options including scalable text, reduced motion, volume, fullscreen, and resolution settings
- Mouse, keyboard, and controller-friendly interface
Current build note
This is a release-candidate/playtest build, not the final Steam release. It is content-complete but may still need art, audio, polish, balance, and external testing.
If something feels broken, confusing, repetitive, or especially fun, feedback is very welcome.
Controls
Use mouse, keyboard, or controller navigation. Inspect items, review evidence, choose questions, then decide how to handle each customer.
Content note
Contains occult themes, cursed objects, unsettling implications, and dark shopkeeper mystery vibes. No banking details, passwords, or real personal data are collected by the game.
